Mank - Touted as "The Black David Bowie" is this alien b-boy trip-hopper whose music has been described as "achingly desolate blues vocals on top of jeep jams fit for a lunar landscape". In fact he'll be throwing an amazing birthday party in September at E&O, Manhattan's hippest new resturant with DJ Jaymz Nylon ( who is another trendsetting DJ who regularly plays New York, London, Paris and Ibizia)

in FASHION We suggest:

Photographer Christian Witkin who went from being underground to shooting Calvin Klein ads in just 2 years.

Designer Zia Ziprin, who has just gotten backing through some major Calvin Klein connections . She is represented by The Blue Room Showroom which also represents lots of cool young designers like Liquid Sky, Go Global, Wang, etc. . It is run by Karen Levitt who is not even 25 but she's major on the underground NY f.

in ART we suggest
GEN ART , the non-profit organization that showcases emerging talent in film, fashion and the visual arts their

In NiGHTLIFE we suggest
Gossip columinists Crave The Mad Honey & Donna Sonkin. He's a homeboy-about-town/model and she's a singer/actress and they get invited to all the coolest parties and know everybody. And they're both very pretty looking kids!
