back to NYW NightLife

This is a true confession. Here at NYW we restlessly roam New York, searching for influences, inspirations and ideas. If you are responsive to the NYW site then you're probably a fan of efficent yet refined design. Our Creative Director most exciting resovoirs of ideas is the Soho bookstore "Untitled". Open since 1970, first as a postcard store, selling reproductions of paintings, it is one of the oldest shops in SoHo and known all over the world. It carries a champion selection of books on art, design and typography, like the current fetish-texts circulating in our offices The End Of Print: The Graphic design of David Carson, The Seventeenth Annual Of The American Center For Design and Morphosis: Buildings and Projects 1989-1992.

As fate would have it, "Untitled" also boasts a Web site [http://home.navisoft.com/faip/fineart.htm] which advertises these books. Soon Fine Art In Print Inc. will have an online catalog of many more titles on design, architecture, and typography. This wonderful excursion in design excellence is already in our top ten of favorite sites. Do venture there.
