What advice do you have for aspiring models?
Don't give up. And very importantly, don't take rejection negatively and personally. Agencies have a specific "look" they want and it changes constantly. Just because you are not right for them today does not mean you won't be right for them tomorrow. The best piece of advice I ever got, and it is now my motto, is "everything happens for a reason." If you can wholeheartedly believe that, it helps both emotionally and mentally.

How did you become interested in modeling?
I have always been intrigued by fashion and how a photographer captures the beauty in both women and men.

What Agencies have you been in contact with?
I have been contacted my Agency Christie, IKON and Gotham.

What was your experience with them?
Shhh....don't tell but I have not gotten around to meeting with them yet!

What Agencies have you been in contact with?
My agent is Karen. I have been contacted for some agencies like Model Services Agency, Gilla Roos, Afterchock and Apollo's, so things are working out.

What was your experience with them?
I have been to several GOSEEs, auditions and casting. My agent is terrific! and personable. I also had a great experience with my photographer, Doron Hanoch who works in NYC.

How did you become interested in modeling?
I have been approached since the age of 18 and asked if I model. Friends and family always encouraged me to try a career in modeling. I always had the dream but I was doubtful. However, last year I met a woman who not only believed in me and supported me she hired a photographer to shoot pictures for my portofolio. She told me that her dream was helping me to realize my dream. This woman is now my wife.

What advice do you have for aspiring models?
Give it a shot and persevere! Don't give up and always be yourself.

I joined mdc about a year and a half ago.
If it wasn't for MDC...
- I don't feel that I would be where I am today with my modeling career. I met a lot of models and photographers, who I have built real friendships with.
- I would have never got the chance to submit to a casting for a fashion show held by Roger from R&L Models, (which I booked!)

- I would have never met such wonderful people, two of which I consider true friends, Ginger and Anne-Marie.
- I would have never met such talented photographers such as Francis Hills, who has helped me be more comfortable in front of the camera, after all those testshoots we worked on together. It made me want to tell other photographers I knew to join! One being Michael Creagh.
- I would have never met Michael Mamoran, who hired me to work on a shoot of his, as a makeup artist. He also bought me a mdc gift certificate to rejoin, when I was broke!
- I would have never met my current agency, Ikon, who I have been working with for the past year now.

My most recent contact, about a week ago, was with Q models. I just sent in my pictures, waiting for there response.

MDC has been addictive, and I really enjoy being a part of it.

How did you become interested in modeling?
To be perfectly honest I never thought about modeling, just didn't think i had the look. I was serving in the u.s. marines over in okinawa, having dinner on one of the military bases when I was approached by a woman who was setting everything thing up for muzzuno. She told me that she was looking for a focus model and they would really like it if I would be him for their shoot. So I happily excepted the opportunity, but after that I never thought about it again. Then I came home and my friends entered me in a modeling competition for maurices, and I ended up becoming their male model of the year. After that, I decided I was going to give modeling a chance. Since then, I've appeared in things such as: abercrombie and fitch, budweiser, cosmopolitan, to name a few.

What Agencies have you been in contact with?
I've signed with agencies such as: click, elite, irene marie, kim dawson, talent-plus centro and design u.s.a. and I am currently waiting on responses from other agencies.

What advice do you have for aspiring models?
What i've learned from the agencies thus far is that, for them to really market you, you need to be in their location, and if they tell you "no" don't give up. Your dreams are yours, so don't let anyone take them from you. with that being said, be patient...good things come to those who wait. so, to some it all up, best of luck to you all and i will look forward to meeting and working with you in the future.

What Agencies have you been in contact with?
R&L, Unite (which has since merged with Grey to become Aire), and Satchi.

What was your experience with them?
I "met" Roger at R&L originally through the forums. He was one of the members who was most helpful to me when I was first learning about the industry. After knowing each other through the forums and email, we made an appointment to meet in person and decided to work together. R&L represents me non-exclusively, as is the case with most commercial modeling agencies here in New York.

I spoke with Leo of Unite several times with regard to specific job that he had me in mind for. However, right around that time was when Unite merged with Grey to form Aire and I did not wind up working with them after the merger.

One of the photographers from the Washington D.C. area who is a regular on the forums frequently mentioned Satchi, so when I saw that they were opening a New York office and were scouting through MDC, I submitted my pictures to them. They asked me to attend their open call here in New York, which I did, and we decided to work together (also non-exclusively, of course).

How did you become interested in modeling?
I was pursuing my acting career when a casting director asked me if I would be interested in a print job she was booking. I had never modeled before, but the casting director was very enthusiastic and I decided to give it a try. It ended up being a lot of fun and had similarities to the acting work that I was already doing, so I decided to pursue modeling in addition to acting. I read anything I could get my hands on to learn about the modeling industry and picked the brains of any experts that I knew. That's how I came to find Models.com, and I joined so that I could go through all of the forum archives to learn as much as I could to prepare myself to enter the industry.

What advice do you have for aspiring models?
It is in the best interest of every model to learn as much as s/he can about the industry. Read everything you can get your hands on, and ask lots advice (but make sure you are asking people qualified to give it!). That way you can be sure to present these agencies with exactly what they are looking for. You may not be able to control whether or not you have the look they are looking for, but you can certainly control the rest of the package. After that I advise people to be persistant. If you aren't getting the results you are looking for, really listen to what people are telling you. Make the necessary changes and try again. It will take a lot of work, but if you are dedicated you are lot more likely to succeed.

What Agencies have you been in contact with?
Through a Models.com member I have been in contact with
a local agency where im located, and Im now signed up with them.

What was your experience with them?
So far no experience since I signed up last week. I have to take some new test shots next week due to my agency's wish to update my portfolio.

How did you become interested in modeling?
I came back from a summer vacation in Canada in 98. There I had taken a picture and my friend told me that he knew a guy who ran a modeling agency. He believed I had a model look and might get a representation and therefor sent my picture. It started from there.

What advice do you have for aspiring models?
Models should have a portfolio with pictures taken from different angles. Have a picture taken with different locations and clothings. Most models have a front face picture. They should also have pictures taken with profile looks, smiling, being serious etc. Black/white pictures are also good.
