Models.com has helped me out tremendously. My words of advice for other aspiring models is to be PROactive and not Reactive. You can't always wait for an agency or scout to come to you; you need to work hard and do some research and in the end your hard work will pay off!

I did a runway show for Sears department store with my sister when I was about 11 or 12 years old. Since then I have done two photshoots and I recently got represented by an agency in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida called Models Exchange.

What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
I have only been a member for a little over a week and Iam in contact with Request right now. I have also been in contact with other models as well photographers. If you haven't yet you need to sign up for models.com. In a week and a half I have already found answers to probably a thousand questions of mine.

What was your experience with them?
Request has been first class all the way!

How did you become interested in modeling?
I have always dreamed of being a model or a actor my whole life. Growing up in the small midwestern town Pewaukee Wisconsin I never thought my dreams were possible and therefore never pursued them. I had always been told that I should try modeling but I never new how to get involved in it and had fears of being taken advantage of financially. I always felt that if I could ever get out of Wisconsin someone would notice me and give me the right opportunity. I finally moved to Florida in October and while I was jogging I was approached by a scout who wanted to know if I would be interested in modeling and told me that I would be perfect. It was the first time someone had ever told me I would be perfect for anything and that was what motivated me to start taking action.

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
There is so much talent out there. You have to always work hard on your diet, workouts, and marketing yourself. If you are getting into this you need to do everything you can to make it. Believe in yourself and don't ever be afraid of rejection. All it takes is for the right person to see that you have talent and you can be on your way to achieveing your personal goals and dreams. Show the agencies that you can be a valuable asset to them and that you are the right investment. Show them that you are serious and here to stay. Sign up for models.com, send them your pictures, call them, show up in person, and continue to learn as much as possible and don't ever give up. Show that you have the talent and that you are willing to make sacrafices and do whatever it takes to be your best.

What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
I am now being represented by TLG NY for Commercial Print and Fitness.

What was your experience with them?
I just shot with Michael Keel so they can make my composite cards and start sending them out to their clients.

How did you become interested in modeling?
I have always been interested in modeling, I had an agent as a child and did lots of catalog work, and then (laughing) I stopped growing.. I basically fell into Fitness modeling and have done 4 magazine's and one sportswear catalog since, they also made me a cover girl for the Fitness America Pageant.

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
Get your face out there, all I had were digital photos in my agency meeting. Send out your portfolios and take advantage of the service that Models.com is offering.

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
Get your pictures to the Agencies, and if they contact you asking for more pictures make sure to send them promptly. Also, just because a few agencies don't think you're right for them doesn't mean you can't be a model. You have to be patient and wait for the right fit.

How did you become interested in modeling?
About 2 years ago I was approached by Wilhemina West while I was dropping off my girlfriend at the airport in DC. I never really thought about it before that, but that experience definitely sparked my interest.

What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
I have been contacted by Aire, BMG, and Fusion.

What was your experience with them?
They were very professional and serious about working with serious models. I am very interested in signing with an agency, and I am just waiting for the right Agency to show alot of interest in someone with a unique look, like myself.

How did you become interested in modeling?
Originally I wanted to act but after attending an acting/modeling school my interest turned to the modeling field as well.

What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
I have not been in contact by any agencies through MODELS.com but would love to. I recently moved to San Diego from Los Angeles where I was freelancing as a model with Go Models & Talent.

What was your experience with them?
I am not very impressed with Go Models & Talent, they are more into making money from you on your initial visit by using their photographer for shoots & zed cards which cost a fortune.

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
Do some research into the agency you are interested in, how long have they been in business, how many other models do they already have that have your same stat's & look - will you be competing with a lot of others that have your same look?

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
Don't be afraid of change. Change your look, experiment don't be afraid to commit yourself and be smart if you don't want to do soemthing don't do it. Just try remain positive and mature throught the whole thing, Belive me agents notice caty imature behavior.

How did you become interested in modeling?
When I was a child, I was scouted for a TV Commercial (i was never in an agency or anything) and they filmed for for that Duncan Yo-Yo commercial that you saw everywhere back in the 1980's. Then, when I lived in LA (for a little over two years) i did a lot of acting, and people always come up to me and ask me if I model.. and I'd get scouted on the street alot, And then of course, I am around it all the time since my best friend Rachel is a model in NYC.

What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
Clear, Whilelmina, Boss, McDonald/Richards, CED, Assasin (UK), Aftershock, MAXX Men

What was your experience with them?
Well, I am not working with McDonald Richards - and I have to say -they are not only the nicest people I have met in the industry - but they ahve a HUGE name (And it is big for a very good reason.) They have a really stroing board, amazing client list and most of all - the bookers REALLY work for their models... and that is what is important. To work with someone that believes in you 110%

How did you become interested in modeling?
First of all, I have always loved fashion. From the time I was ten years old I would devour every issue of VOGUE. I could never get enough of it, I was engrossed with the clothes, the photography, the image- and the models!

I was always very tall and thin, and modeling has been something I have wanted to do for a long time. In the last year it seems that every time I go out in public someone asks me if I am or tells me I should be a model, and I feel like now I am mature enough to get into it, so that's what I am trying to do.

What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
IMG and Nous.

What was your experience with them?
I am meeting with Nous next week because they are in LA which is close to me. Lisa Amatto at IMG was really nice to me. I just sent pictures via-mail to other New York agencies, so hopefully I'll hear from them.

Models.com is a great way for aspiring models to be seen by professional agencies and it opens many doors and opportunities.

My advice would be to always have a positive attitude and be confident. There may be disappointments along the way but good things do happen just keep your dreams alive.
