ON
LEE ZUMDOME
MDC:
Jeremy, could you outline how you initiated contact with Lee and
developed the dialogue that led to the signing.
Jeremy:
Lee and I began speaking in January of this year after I saw him
on MODELS.com. We developed a rapport over email and I invited him
to call - he was full of questions about New York - about the industry
as a whole - very thoughtful, very engaging questions. Apparently
ours was not the only agency who had expressed interest, and he
was careful to ask well pointed questions as many of our more established
neighbors had also contacted him requesting Polaroid's. Given the
level of expressed interest I invited him to come in to New York
for a long weekend and make the rounds visiting other agencies.
After a week of planning all was arranged for Lee to go to agencies
throughout the city. He was to meet with me last.
MDC:
And the rest is history. Now six months later Lee's in NY...
Jeremy: Fast forward six months to his relocation
to New York. Since arriving in June Lee has done a charity event
in Barbados, booked GQ and shot editorials for Cosmopolitan and
DNR magazine, worked several weeks at the Diesel showroom, and has
been on first option for two national commercials and one campaign.
We have secured representation for him with Storm in London ,in
Milan with Joy, and here in New York he has both on-camera representation
with JDG Talent as well as a commercial agent. Lee has also been
offered representation by several firms in both Miami and Chicago,
but before deciding, we're waiting on his tears so as to coordinate
direct bookings.
