How shamelessly has MDC been cheerleading for Canadian cutie Lisa Cant. Since we first glimpsed her delicate beauty last summer, we've been bonafide fans. Which is why her two Italian Vogue covers, breakout FW/04 show season and supercharged charts are so exciting to view. Models who know how to burn the lens on their first outing are not to be taken for granted. Having had the chance to work with her on shows MDC grabbed the chance to hang with Miss Cant and learn a little bit more about Trump Management's hot new break out face.

Miss Lisa Cant. What's your back story?
I'm from Canada. Calgary specifically. It's a province of Alberta. I'm actually from outside Calgary. In a little tiny sub-division called Craig Meadows. It's very very small about a half-hour outside the city. It's technically in the country but it wasn't exactly like growing up on a farm

It was classic suburbia then?
Sort of. But to the right of the city are farmer's fields and cows.

How were you scouted?
I was in Ikea in Calgary in the restaurant area and another model came up to me and asked me if I had ever tried to model. She gave me the card of a scouting mother agency in Calgary. It took me a little while for me to call her. We took some pictures, we shot some tests. And that was the start.

How did Trump end up as your NY destination of choice?...
