It's like a Lisa Cant chain mail! Has your life changed a lot in the past six months?
Yeah in terms of doing things like big shows which I had never done before. I had done small shows in Canada but this was a whole new ball game. Shooting everyday. Traveling a lot more.

Was it overwhelming, that change?
Not really. I had a taste of it before .it's just that it became more concentrated this year. The show season was a little bit hectic.

Then there's the back to back shoots with Meisel.
He's an amazing photographer. It's really interesting to see how his mind works when he's shooting. He knows what he wants.. He has such a creative mind. He could say "Put your hand on the stroller this way " and while you're doing it .it feels strange but in the picture it's amazing.

Was it your dream growing up to be doing these major shows and shooting with the best photographers?
No. I wasn't like the most beautiful one of the lot when I was younger. My sisters were these blonde blue-eyed beautiful girls and I was kind of skinny and gawky.

When you were approached to model were you put off?
I thought there wasn't any way it was going to work. I had grown taller because I was fourteen. I went to see the agent thinking "Oh she's just going to try me out". I was very apprehensive at first. She took my measurements, took some Polaroids. Then she said, "You have great potential. We're going to have you shoot some tests". At the time I was very shy. I was very nervous. I didn't have the confidence then that I have now. But you know being backstage at the shows with these really big girls.gives you a better feeling.of assurance. It's a lot of fun to get into the dressing up and becoming another person, that part of the job is like acting.

Which models were your role models?
Kate Moss. She's so beautiful and always has been. And really nice in person. She came to a show I did in Paris and usually they have to hold the show for the celebrities who arrive last. But she came on time. She's been there before; she knows what it's like to be waiting for a show to start knowing you have loads of other shows afterwards.

Do you aspire to her level of supermodeldom?
One can only hope right (lol).

Speaking of aspiring what's your advice to all the aspiring models who want Lisa Cant style success?
Stay true to you. Persevere. It might not happen right away. I'm nineteen now. I first went away at sixteen. Overnight is not overnight.. Have fun while you're working. And for all my friends in Canada reading this I just want to say Hi, I'll see you as soon as I get a chance.

And for the record you are NOT an alien bug imp who roams the streets at night.
No. I'm just Lisa.

Lisa Cant you are loads of fun. Thanks for hanging out!
Thank you for the support!
