Monika Jagaciak Jankic. Prefers the nickname "Jac".
Internationally recognized as a supermodel of the 2010s, Jac Jagaciak’s timeless beauty and poise catapulted her from teenage life in small-town Poland into the fashion world of runways, campaigns, and editorials.
Growing up in a small town outside of Poznan, Poland, Jagaciak was introduced to the modeling world through her sister’s friend who travelled to Japan and had a great adventure. Curious and ambitious, Jagaciak undertook a similar adventure of her own. Quickly after signing with a Parisian agency, she attended a go-see where Peter Lindbergh hand-selected her to front an Hermes campaign. Her star shot off from there and, while diligently completing her high school education, Jagaciak spent weekends and holidays shooting with the greats and walking iconic runways.
After securing a Calvin Klein exclusive runway stint, Jagaciak went on to walk for acclaimed fashion houses such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Prada, Chloe, Tom Ford, Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Versace, Alexander McQueen, and Marc Jacobs. The buzz around the Polish beauty only grew, landing her campaigns with Christian Dior, Valentino, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, and Prada. After a move to New York City at 20 years old, Jagaciak's warm personality and on-camera charm led to both a contract with Chanel Beauty and a stint as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Her love of travel sustained her during this hectic but fulfilling period of her career and permitted her the time and space to focus on her future.
Her editorial future was certainly bright. With over 30 covers, Jagaciak graced numerous international editions of Vogue (including those of America, France, Italy, and her native Poland), Harpers Bazaar, and Elle. She also appeared in stories for V, AnOther, Numero, Interview, and W magazines.
