Country of origin: Czech Republic
Born in the Czech Republic, Kurkova is best known
as one of the faces of lingerie company Victoria's
Secret. At the age of 15 she was discovered and
signed by fashion designer Miuccia Prada and
quickly landed a job with Vogue magazine. Her
prescence is strong both in the high end and
commercial markets as she has been the face of
brands such as Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Chanel,
Tommy Hilfiger, and Yves Saint Laurent. Outside of
modeling, Kurkova is active in humanitarian work,
promoting the welfare of children through several
organizations. She also recently completed her first
acting role in the film, "My Sexiest Year".
