OTM popped by Daniel Peddle‘s opening reception for Undertow, his new series of paintings at the NPCAC. Models Aiden Andrews, Tao Okamoto and Hanne Gaby Odiele joined Daniel, Drew Dasent and Nicola Vassell, the director of the Pace Gallery, who curated Undertow. Longtime friends, Phillip Lim and Richard Chai mixed with designers Robert Geller, Thuy Pham, singer Bianca Casady (CocoRosie) artists Anthony Goicolea, Daniel Ashram and the award winning illustrator Ian Falconer. Fellow industry insiders Anita Bitton, Andrew Weir, Alexei Hay and Jason Farrer all showed up to mingle and take in the serene pieces.

OTM: When you travel to Milan/Paris for work, what’s your favorite medium to bring with you?
DP: My travel kit includes watercolor, gouache, acrylic, frisket, charcoal and plenty of kneaded erasers!
