MEMORABLE MOMENT: My favorite moment this season was shopping in the Chanel Market. It was so nice. We got to stay on the stage for a really long time, like 10-20 minutes during the whole show. Walking around and talking with the other models was a really special moment for me. After the show, I saw on instagram that everyone seemed to really enjoy it.

Plus I got to take the big Chanel door mat and I also got some dish washer gloves, the ones with the flowers. It was almost like Chanel was a country! The same way they have “made in China” or “made in the USA,” everything was “made in Chanel.”

Sophie Touchet
HOMETOWN: Gatineau, Canada
FW14 HIGHLIGHTS: Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Kenzo, Maiyet, Burberry, Christopher Kane,  Prabal Gurung, Suno, Rag & Bone and many more

MEMORABLE MOMENT: My favorite moment was definitely the Marc by Marc Jacobs show because the outfit was just so nice. The music was from Alice in Wonderland and I’m a fan of Alice in Wonderland. Backstage I had goosebumps because it was so exciting and the runway was so nice as well.

Tanya Katysheva

MEMORABLE MOMENT: I just like my work. For me, it’s so good to see how people create fashion. It’s cool to be inside and not just see from outside. My favorite show from fashion week? I think I have a lot of them. I couldn’t say just one or two. In New York, I really liked Philip Lim and the DKNY show. They had a cool mix of people at DKNY –  normal people from the street, some musicians, some models. There were so many different people backstage – about 60 of us, that made for an interesting experience.

Larissa Hofmann
HOMETOWN: Germany
FW14 HIGHLIGHTS: Chanel, Emanuel Ungaro, Jean Paul Gaultier, Haider Ackermann, Maison Martin Margiela, Balmain, Carven,  Anthony Vaccarello, Trussardi , Tom Ford, Peter Pilotto, Erdem, 3.1 Phillip Lim and many more

MEMORABLE MOMENT: I think my most memorable moment was opening Phillip Lim. When I went to the fitting, they put “look one” on me. I thought maybe I was trying it on for another girl who wasn’t there yet. Then Philip said, “you’re going to open.” I thought to myself, ‘What! Me?’ I appreciate it so much. It was my first show ever opening and I’ve loved the Phillip Lim collection forever. It felt amazing and it was one of the moments where I thought, ‘Wow. Dreams really do come true.’

Riley Montana
HOMETOWN: Detroit, Michigan
FW14 HIGHLIGHTS: Nina Ricci, Balmain, Rochas,  Bottega Veneta, Moschino, Peter Pilotto, Erdem, Topshop, Marios Schwab, Preen, Mary Katrantzou, Anna Sui, Oscar de la Renta, Rodarte and many more

MEMORABLE MOMENT: My favorite moment would be working with Olivier at Balmain. I also met Joan Smalls and Jourdan Dunn and they were so humble and so sweet. That’s what’s up – to see such big girls and realize they’re still so humble, sweet and chill.

Michela D’Angelo
HOMETOWN: Italy
FW14 HIGHLIGHTS: Marc Jacobs and Zadig & Voltaire

MEMORABLE MOMENT: My favorite moment of the past fashion week was the Marc Jacobs show. Backstage I met my favorite blogger, Emily Weiss, from Into the Gloss. We talked about everything – hair, makeup, clothes. It was really fun because I’ve been following her blog for a while. I was so happy to meet her there, it was amazing!

Pauline Hoarau
HOMETOWN: Réunion Island
FW14 HIGHLIGHTS: Valentino, Chanel, Elie Saab, Akris, Jean Paul Gaultier, H&M, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Alberta Ferretti, Antonio Berardi, Matthew Williamson, Topshop, Joseph, Jeremy Scott, Ralph Lauren, Marchesa, Wes Gordon, Donna Karan, Prabal Gurung and many more

MEMORABLE MOMENT: My favorite moment from this fashion week was, of course, the Chanel show because it was amazing. The supermarket was so big and we were not expecting that at all. I had so much fun just shopping around in the aisles.

I have really great memories from the Prabal Gurung show too. I had an amazing dress and I was so happy to be there – as I’m walking out this guy showed up out of nowhere and streaked down the runway! It was crazy and definitely a moment I won’t ever forget!

Grace Bol
HOMETOWN: South Sudan
FW14 HIGHLIGHTS: John Galliano, Kenzo, Vivienne Westwood, Haider Ackermann, Matthew Williamson, Pringle of Scotland, Julien Macdonald, Joseph, Jeremy Scott, Thom Browne, and many more

P1000647

MEMORABLE MOMENT: London was wow for me – I wasn’t expecting it. Working for Julien MacDonald and John Rocha was incredible. Matthew Williamson as well – I actually partied with him. I went to his after party and we had a blast. I thought, ‘Wow I didn’t know you were this fun!’ Going to castings and just sitting there while the designer is checking you out vs. being at a party with them are completely different. It was wild, we jumped on a table!

Harleth Kuusik
HOMETOWN: Estonia
FW14 HIGHLIGHTS: Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Valentino, Saint Laurent, Giambattista Valli, Sacai, Maiyet, Acne, Proenza Schouler, Hussein Chalayan, Maison Martin Margiela, Lanvin,  Jil Sander, Fendi, Topshop, J.W. Anderson, Proenza Schouler, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Prabal Gurung, Suno, Helmut Lang, Rag & Bone, Peter Som, Coach and many more

MEMORABLE MOMENT: My most memorable moment was probably when I discovered that they were giving me bangs at a YSL fitting! It’s memorable because it’s something I can can see every day – it’s on my head every day.

Vanessa Moody
HOMETOWN: Vicksburg Mississippi
FW14 HIGHLIGHTS: Alexander Wang and Balenciaga (exclusives)

P1000586

MEMORABLE MOMENT: My favorite moment this season was, obviously, being able to open exclusive for Alexander Wang. I don’t think I can think of any other way I would have rather had my first fashion week, and I’m very excited to see what next fashion week will be like. I’m from North Dallas Texas, and I started modeling there about a year ago. I am still so new to everything and I’m so happy and excited with the direction things are taking. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Kia Low
HOMETOWN: Brisbane Australia
FW14 HIGHLIGHTS: Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Céline, Dior, Carven, Peter Pilotto, Christopher Kane, Mary Katrantzou, Calvin Klein, Maison Martin Margiela, Rodarte and many more

MEMORABLE MOMENT: My most memorable moment was probably straight after doing the Calvin Klein show. I did it with one of my friends, Jessica, and it was one of our first big “omg” moments. As soon as it was over, we couldn’t believe that we both walked it. We stepped outside and into this huge blizzard – it was probably the grossest day I’d ever seen. So cold, so windy, so everything!

We were walking together to back the agency and  every three seconds something would happen. Our umbrella would flip the other way, and we’d think “It’s okay…we just walked Calvin Klein.” Then our eyes would be watering but we’d think, “It’s okay.. we just walked Calvin Klein.” We were crossing the road and there was this gigantic puddle. There was no way we could get around it and taxis were beeping at us, but we didn’t care what happened because walking that show was such a special moment. Despite the craziness, it was definitely an awesome time.
