Dan was born and raised in Pleasantville New York. He has been involved in the arts since childhood, picked up a camera at age 12 and eventually studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. He worked as an assistant to photographers Alex Cayley, Tom Munro, Stephane Sednaoui and Annie Leibovitz. Dan's work has been included in shows around the world including the New York Armory Photography show, and recently in an exhibtion at the acclaimed Dichtorhallen Museum in Hamburg. His portrait and fashion work has appeared in publications such as The Last Magazine, i-D, The New York Times, Interview, Dossier Journal, GQ, EXIT, V Man and Teen Vogue. Dan has shot campaigns for H&M, Costume National, Anna Sheffiield, Target and Converse One Star. He has collaborated with designers such as Alexander Wang and Evan Yurman.
