biography
Born 1961. At Lanvin since 2001. This Moroccan native studied at Shenkar College of Textile Technology and Fashion but received an important chunk of his training from 7 years of working with Geoffrey Beene. In '96, Elbaz was appointed head of ready-to-wear for Guy Laroche in Paris and was appointed artistic director for Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche in 1998. In 2001 he became the creative director of Lanvin. 2005: CFDA's International Award, named Chevalier of the Legion d'Honneur, Paris in 2007
