Francesco Brigida was born in Monopoli (Apulia) in 1980. In Milan, he began his training by working as an assistant to numerous professional photographers and advertising studios.
Specialising in fashion and architectural photography, he immediately started working in 2002 as a photografer and director between Milan and Paris for numerous brands such as Valentino, Serge Lutens, Dior, Etro, Armani, Hermès, Loro Piana, Dolce&Gabbana and many others. In 2015 he exhibited in the group show curated by Vittorio Linfante “Il nuovo vocabolario della moda italiana” at the Milan Triennale. In 2016, his works found space in the exhibition “Haute à porter” curated by Filep Motwary at the Mode Museum in Hasselt (Belgium).
In 2019, in Paris, he participated in the group exhibition “Image Nation” at Galerie Joseph and the following year he collaborated with Pierre Louis Mascia at the boutique Leclaireur. In 2023 comes his first solo exhibition at the Alessia Paladin gallery in Milan, which marks a moment turning point for his photography. This was followed in 2023 by a group exhibition in Rome at the Millepiani space in collaboration with “Loosenart”, and in the same year he won the second prize at the “PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris” in the auteur book category and exhibited in the related group show at Galerie 24-b in Paris. In 2024, he returned to Rome and exhibited in a solo show at the Bruno Lisi Gallery under the curatorship of Camilla Boemio. Also in 2024, Brigida’s work was included in an important publication on Fashion Photography “Panorama of Contemporary Italian Fashion Photography” produced by Skira and curated by Pablo Arroyo.
His shots have been published in several international magazines: Vogue Russia, Vogue Japan, Vogue Portugal, Vogue Italy, Harper’s Bazaar USA, Another Magazine and Encens Magazine.
In 2021 he published his first book, “Studio per una scultura”, Linke editions. He lives and works between Milan and Paris.
