Displaced form and function is the frame of mind in the the latest Models.com original editorial. Photographer Nagi Sakai envisions platinum topped Kris Gottschalk as a spartan beauty in visual flux. The broken down styling with Sakai’s spatial eye pair to create a synthesis of contrasting texture and tone. Though shot in studio, phases of light and space convey a feeling of shifting time and mood. What’s best, the raw and real beauty looks combined with way-out fashion elements are just enough to be not so simple, but essentially minimal.
