From animal care to rescue missions, top models like Dilone, Emily DiDonato, and Hailey Clauson are lending a helping hand to the less fortunate in New York City. Made possible by DEED the new tech app bridges community service and individual interests seamlessly. DEED, co-founded by Deevee Kashi and Anthony Yoon, was created when they realized that everything was available within thumb’s reach except the one thing the world needs most: compassion. With social impact as a main concern for people, young and old alike, the app’s easy to navigate interface allows users to connect and uplift through partnerships with over 60 local charities.
In its latest endeavor, DEED joined forces with Moravian Open Door, a transitional shelter in the East Village, to provide women and mothers with luxurious pampering for their Day of Kindness initiative, Project Makeover. Winter’s chill is no match for Julia van Os and Sanne Vloet, as the girls’ positive vibrations were enough to warm these ladies’ hearts. Brightening up the room with their smiling faces, Max Papendieck and Georgia Fowler volunteered meal services during Thanksgiving to Recovery House of Worship. Likewise, Catherine McNeil and Issa Lish teamed up around the holidays to support area LGBTQ+ youth with art projects and food distribution. From dog walking to career planning to reading to children, there are endless possibilities to make a difference in someone’s life.
Check out an exclusive, behind the scenes look at some of the service projects these model wonders have completed and find plenty of ways to do a good DEED!
